Interview Preparation and Questions

For the user research, we chose to make small 20-minute interviews so we could better understand the needs of young adults starting a job.

The interviews are semi-structured, so the interviewer can explore further particular themes or responses more in-depth than structured interviews. This allows us to gain insights that might not have been initially considered or missed in the preparation.

In alignment with our objectives, we have formulated the following interview questions:

1. Since beginning your new job, what are the main differences you have noticed from being a student?
2. How do you currently manage your budget and track spending?
3. What is more important to you when budgeting your money?
4. What do you find most challenging about budgeting and/or saving money regularly?
5. How knowledgeable do you feel about financial planning basics like budgeting, saving, and investing?
6. What reservations or concerns would you have about relying on an app for financial planning assistance?
7. What specific topics or features would make a finance app useful to you right now?
8. Do you plan on relocating in the future? Why?
9. What difficulties do you feel you might encounter when relocating?
10. In what ways do you think relocating might affect your budgeting habits?

1. What are your main struggles while working?
2. In what ways do you believe relocating might help you in terms of employment?
